The oil leak here is bad enough that smoke is comming through the gap in the gasket. The VVT unit in question is the black round bit and the aluminum part with three black bolts in it.

I took this just to show that somebody has replaced this CV boot or joint and failed to clean up the mess leaving axle grease sprayed all over the transmission and sub-frame.

Exhaust welded into muffler with a 45 degree hard angle where it should be bent. Note the rusty steel tubing and steel muffler that has been grafted to the factory brown stainless steel tubing at the left of the picture.

Bad bending practices that restrict exhaust gasses and will overheat the turbos and cats causing premature failure.

Passenger side upper control arms. You can see the damaged boots on the arms and the tire rod end, but the real concern is the rubber bushings on the inner ends of the arms. Close-ups are in the next few images.

Front passener upper foreward control arm inner bushing. It is completely torn and can be moved laterally.

This one is so bad that it had shifted rearward and was cutting through it's mount. You can see just above the rubber bushing where the metal is shiney from being worn through.

This is the drivers side upper rearward control arm inner bushing. On this one you can see significant wear where it was contacting it's mount. A significant amount of material has been worn off of the mount as well.
